For more than 25 years we’ve been helping our clients turn their application data into actionable operational information.

MOTIVATION

Quantiv was founded in 1995 by a group of business and software professionals frustrated with the failure of information technology to support the different ways organisations operate in the real world.

At that time data processing consisted of a stark choice between accepting an existing system with a rigid operating model, or taking the risk of developing an application from scratch.

But we were convinced an alternative approach was possible. So, we developed a platform to ensure operational processes could be controlled with the same degree of rigour and standardisation as a developed system, but with the flexibility of a custom application.

Our original platform provided the common foundations needed for every application, including a framework for the addition of custom functionality to suit our clients’ individual needs.

Using this approach, we’ve worked with a range of medium to large organisations in diverse sectors, including high-profile clients such as JustGiving, the Ministry of Defence, Hotel Chocolat, and phs Group.

EVOLUTION

But while working with our clients, we’ve come to realise that the true value provided by the applications we produce comes from the operational information exposed.

These operational metrics allow our clients to have greater control over the ways their organisations run. Existing processes can be controlled more precisely, and new processes anticipated without extra risk.

What’s more, these metrics serve an additional purpose beyond merely reporting – they provide the key to automated processing.

These realisations have inspired us to refine our original platform and create our ‘application social networking’ services: the NumberWorks method and NumberCloud platform.
